When you tip cash at Arctica, the volunteers have the option to claim their tips or donate them. All credit card tips are donated. After each event, Arctica determines which organizations to direct our donations to. In 2024, we donated a total of $35,485 split between:
- Great Basin Outdoor School (Reno)
- Washoe County Family Planning
- Gerlach High School teacher appreciation fund
- Surf Rider Foundation in memory of Erik Hefflefinger AKA “Squirrel”
- Gadsen Elementary School in memory of Kevin Bowman AKA “Airport Mayor”
